O'Brien, Evelyn 74 of Pelham, AL and formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2015. Evelyn was a 1959 graduate of Roxborough High School and a member of Chi Rho Sigma sorority. She was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist parish and retired from Sisters of Mercy in Merion Station, PA. She was cofounder and CFO of O'Brien's Water Hole in Roxborough, PA. Evelyn was a beloved wife of 54 years, a doting mother and grandmother, a dear aunt and a loyal friend. She found her greatest joy in her family, especially her five grandchildren. Mrs. O'Brien is preceded in death by her parents, George Barth and Dorothy Ida Mill Barth. She is survived by her loving husband, William J. O'Brien; daughter, Suzanne Edinger (Scott); brother, George Barth (Mary Willard); and grandchildren, Matthew Edinger, Erica Edinger, Ryan Edinger, Carly Edinger and Shane Edinger. The viewing for Mrs. O’brien will be Tuesday night from 7pm to 9pm at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home 425 Lyceum Ave. Philadelphia Pa 19128 and Wednesday morning at 8:30am the funeral mass will be at 10am on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Philadelphia, PA with burial following at Westminster Cemetery in Bala Cynwyd, PA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home in Philadelphia, PA.
