Obituary of Carol Ann Hniedziejko
Hniedziejko
Carol A. Hniedziejko, of Waverly Heights, Gladwyne, formerly of Roxborough, was born on November 4, 1943, to Joseph and Veronica Krystopa of Manayunk. She was the most wonderful and devoted mother to Stanley Hniedziejko, Amy (John) Soda, Andrea (Russ) Ball, and Karen Todd. Above all, she cherished her role as a grandmother, showering love and adoration on her grandchildren: Olivia and John Soda, Dominique Mortelliti, Leighton and Sabine Ball, and Jack and Lanna Todd.
Carol was the heart of our family—a woman of incredible warmth, strength, and love. She was funny and strong-willed, sentimental and brave, and she filled our lives with laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support. More than anything, she was an extraordinary mother and grandmother, pouring her love into every moment she spent with us. Her grandchildren brought her endless joy, and nothing made her happier than watching them grow, celebrating their milestones, and sharing in their happiness. She was our biggest cheerleader and defender.
Beyond being a devoted mother and grandmother, Carol was an amazing and supportive friend. She had a gift for making people feel seen, valued, and understood. Whether it was offering a listening ear, a comforting word, or simply sharing a laugh, she formed deep and lasting friendships. Her kindness, loyalty, and ability to uplift those around her left a lasting mark on everyone who knew her.
A proud member of the Polish community, Carol embraced her heritage wholeheartedly, enriching our lives with treasured traditions and comforting, homemade Polish food. She had an artistic eye for flower arranging, planting, and crafting, and she could find beauty in the simplest things. She loved a good puzzle, had a talent for shopping, and was the ultimate Hallmark movie connoisseur.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with us on Wednesday 9 AM and to participate in her Memorial Mass 10 AM at St John Vienney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd, Gladwyne, PA 19035, followed by her inurnment Westminster Cemetery.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Waverly Heights for their kindness, care, and compassion. Your thoughtfulness will always be remembered in our hearts.
Though we will miss her dearly, Carol's spirit will live on in the traditions she passed down, the love she shared so freely, and the countless memories she created with us. She was our safe place, and the foundation of our family. We were beyond blessed to have her, and we will carry her love with us always.
