Boyle

Robert James Boyle, age 81 of Gilbert Arizona, passed from this life on Tuesday October 28th, 2025. Born and raised in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, he was the son of Bernard J. Boyle and Anna B. Boyle (nee Gallagher). He attended St. John the Baptist Grade School class of 1958, St Joseph's Preparatory School (The Prep) class of 1962, and St Joseph's University class of 1966.

Bob is survived by his wife of 41 years, Dixie Boyle, stepchildren Nicole and Michael, step-grandsons Eric and Nicholas; his sister Barbara Boyle-Baird, and brother John B. Boyle, both of Ocean City, NJ. Also surviving are nieces Barbara Snyder (Wayne), Cynthia L. Baird, and nephew Robert Baird (Lynne), grandnieces Ellen, and Emily, and grandnephews Ian and Daniel.

Bob is also survived by his former wife Susan, their daughter Denise Timmerman (Cole) and granddaughter Veronica Timmerman.

Bob was predeceased by his parents, and by his brother the Reverend Bernard J. Boyle, S.J., by his niece Anita Marie Baird and by his grandniece Elizabeth Hope Baird.

Bob served in and was honorably discharged from the United States Coast Guard. He was a regional sales manager and spent much of his business career on the West Coast between California and Arizona. He enjoyed golf and had fond memories of his times at the Jersey Shore.

Funeral arrangements are by Fitzpatrick Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St John the Baptist Church, 146 Rector Street, Manayunk, Philadelphia, at 10:30 AM on Friday, November 28, 2025. Visitation will take place at St. John's before the Mass from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, Pennsylvania, immediately following the Mass. Final Military Honors will be rendered at the graveside.
