I still remember the day I met Mrs. Hennessy. It was in the kitchen on Fairthorne St and her mother was there at the table. I was mesmerized by that shock of light hair. She welcomed me into her home, as one of her daughters. When my shock of grey hair appeared in my 20’s, it was she that I thought of. She lived a long, loving, loved and active life. Raised 7 wonderful, loving and accomplished daughters. She’s with her husband, mother and daughter now and in their forever embrace. My heart goes out to the entire family for their loss. No matter how old you get and how long she may have lived, the loss of a matriarch reverberates through the generations that follow.
