I just heard of Karl’s passing, and I wanted to express my deepest condolences to Christian and Erich. My son, Chris, was good friends with Christian and Erich, and for years, I have good memories of what a great father Karl was to his boys. He was always there for them; a great father. Erich and Christian, Your father was a childhood friend and neighbor to my family on Rochelle Ave. Your Grandmother, Jean was a dear friend to my Mother, Helen. We called her Aunt Jean. She always made a spice pumpkin cake for my mom on her birthday. Karl hung out with us like all of the kids did on Rochelle back in the good old days. I would ride around with Karl and our friend Laura in his little white car that always had awesome speakers and we would listen to the Cars. To this day I still think of those carefree times when I hear a Cars song. On behalf of the Melnick family (John, Anne Marie and Paul), please accept my condolences on the passing of your Father.
