I was a classmate of Teri's at Immaculata and I've just seen her name in the memoriam list. I met her during testing months before we started there. I remember being so overwhelmed. Teri was so kind to me that day. I left feeling so much better about coming to Immaculata in the fall. Teri had class and grace even as a young woman. Her loved ones know this I'm sure. Rest in peace Teri.
PS she looks exactly the same as she did in college

Blessings to those grieving,
The congregation of Faithful Missionary Baptist Church joins its broken heart in sympathy with those souls mourning the untimely loss of the beloved Terri Price. To all having crossed her path, such loss adds that of the most exquisite – that of Wife, Mother Sibling, Relative and Friend - to an endless stream of earthly pleasures and treasures one is blessed to possess, if only for appointed precious moments, before they inevitably slip away in defiance of the tightest of grasps.
Relative to ourselves, all that surrounds us in this world is in motion pursuing its own predetermined path tracing out both an earthly beginning and earthly end – each beholden to its own timetable. When such divinely determined schedules inevitably conflict concerning arrival and departure of that which we cherish at selected points along life’s path, we are powerless to possess for longer than the appointed time that which is temporal - no matter how precious. At some point, we are forced by a divine timetable beyond our control, to relent to the Creator of all that's in the world: letting go against our will - that which we wish to possess for a while longer than its appointed time - if not forever. Ultimately, as to our temporal pleasures and treasures, we are resigned to either leave them behind or let them go on ahead.
This Church prayed for the mercy of a healing - Terri and Family’s namesake gracing our sacred Offered Prayer Board - as we fervently petitioned the Lord at each service since learning of the need some years past. As Christians, we understand that God gives us what we need, but not
always what we want: mercy was yet dispensed in the form of additional years of life graciously granted to Teri beyond that expected given her affliction so that she and her loved ones might enjoy added treasures and pleasures - though only fleeting - from the Lord while making possible as well as the exchange of the longest of all good- byes between Terri and her loved ones. Just as the origin of “Good Bye” has heavenly roots as an abbreviation of “God be with ye” or “Godwye,” such was the source of prayerful fruit springing from that heavenly “Tree of Life” as in that “Garden of Old.” Our earthly station prohibits us now, as well as then, of taking such fruit for our own; rather we are free to enjoy its benefits by God’s blessing for an appointed time. Praising God for that mercy, we humbly accept his sovereign explanation toward resolving the quandary of why at times prayer fails to yield one’s desired result found in 2 Corinthians 12:9 describing God’s answer to Paul’s continual pleading for relief from the vexing affliction of, “A thorn in the flesh:”
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…”
The futile struggle in reconciling such a contrary answer from a loving God is conceded in Isaiah 55:8-9 proclaiming the answer as unknowable as afflictions are for God’s purpose alone:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
Ultimately, divine reconciliation of the unknowable is found in God’s promise recorded in Romans 8:28:
“And we know that all things work together for good for those that love God and are the called according to his purpose.”
Tribulation in this world can only touch the body not the spirit – impacting the temporal not the eternal. The eternal is immutable unaltered by temporal events. There is no “Timetable” to which eternity is subject only one endless eternal moment as to God’s divine “Timeless table.” From Scripture, we know to be true Albert Einstein’s observation, "Any distinction between past, present, and future is nothing more than a Stubborn persistent illusion" from Jesus’s profession of his deity in John 8:58:
"And Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was I am"
Viewed from God's rock, there is only endless eternity free from time’s confines and corruption. Further evidence of the same hidden eternal reality existing on an alternate plane to the temporal is Scripturally revealed in the words of Jesus spoken prior - by an earthly time-frame – to his later resurrection transpiring three days hence. That of the present moment is equated as one of the same with that of the future in the precious words spoken by Jesus while on the cross in response to the repentant thief recorded in Luke 23:42-43:
“And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.” And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, Today shalt thou be with me in paradise.”
Terri trusting in that same benefactor of the fallen 2,000 years ago, possessed that same repentant heart, on record then as well as now, being capable of attaining - by God’s grace alone - immediate salvation. Both heart and mouth in truthful agreement – lips confirming heart - with the profession of Jesus as Lord springing forth. Such members being in unison perfectly displace those divine “lock tumblers” according to God’s configuration resulting in the unlocking – for the faithful believer - an otherwise locked door opening into Paradise as described in Romans 10:9-10:
“With the heart men believeth, but with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
The “Master Key” to the kingdom, which Terri possessed, is faithful belief in the power of a redeeming savior as described in Romans 10:9:
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved.”
We mourn our earthly loss, while celebrating Terri’s heavenly gain comforted by the pair of verses speaking of the transition from the temporal to eternal of believers declared in Ecclesiastes 12:7 and 2 Corinthians 12:8, respectively:
“Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.”
And…
“We are confident I say, rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
Terri’s loved ones wishing to follow in her footsteps - to be where she is at this eternal instant - need only look under that “Scriptural Mat” for that key of mercy of “hearts and lips aligned” hidden by the Lord left for them to retrieve. Those of her loved ones knowing where to look and retrieve that key granting entry to God’s kingdom are with her now for all eternity.
May the Lord lift all those with heavy hearts wiping away as many tears now with the realization that at the appointed time - in the company of blessed believer loved ones - every tear will be wiped away in that kingdom to come.
In His Love,
Rev. Rodney D. Collins Jr., Pastor

This poem represents the way I saw and knew Terri…a kind and loving friend to so many. She adored her family as they did her.
Our deepest sympathy to George who gave of himself to support her through this terrible ordeal and to her loving children, George and Valerie, and Victoria who all cared for her, and her sweet granddaughter, Olivia, who made her so happy. God bless you all!
