Q: What will you never forget about Doris?
A: I'll never forget how Doris loved Finn, her daughter Kristin's German shepherd. She would feed him bits of food from the table, they would sit together and Doris would read or do her crossword puzzles. She would remark constantly about his "Alpine Ears." Whenever Finn would bark up a storm Doris would just say "Oh muzzle it!"

Q: What will you miss most about Doris?
A: We will miss Doris so much, her sense of humor was super exquisite. She reminded me of my mother…such purity and fire at the same time I will never forget that. Her laugher, her bravery, & confidence, made her such a magical human being I would literally call her my second mother…She loved all the common things of the world & that included family, flowers, & life. Oh I mustn’t forget food because our European food definitely feeds the soul & our beautiful Doris agrees of that. Life is all about Happiness & never feel guilty about that! My memories of Doris are through Kristin. I would often hear her mom speaking to Kristin while we were on the phone and her voice and words were always so kind and sweet. I will miss hearing her voice and updates on her day, but there truly is a new beautiful, sweet angel watching over us now. Rest peacefully.

Sweet beautiful Doris! How much we will miss your voice, your excitement on the phone hearing us ! This affable, calm and loving presence!
There was only one Doris. Doris with big ,loving heart whose intention was always to show you she cared for you and loved you, that you , in this moment was the most important person for her to listen to. Doris , who would shower everyone with her love and attention and never forget birthdays and times of importance. Because you were important to her.
Doris was my model of how love and caring should be. Tender , everlasting and sweet. Expressed through words and gestures and seemingly effortless personal sacrifice.
Doris stepped into my family’s life at the moment of need and became our surrogate Mom. She saved us and allowed for a better path forward . She made us feel loved and needed and showered us with attention , endless optimism and everything this material world could provide .
