Mary Carol was born in Wilkes-Bare, Pa in 1949 to George and Mildred (Gilefski) Hornyak. Mary Carol grew up in Kingston Pa.

Mary Carol is survived by her brother G. Robert (JoAnna) Hornyak and her brother

John Ronald "Ronnie" (Elma) Hornyak. She is also survived by her best friend of 50 plus years, Judy Sudler of West Chester, Pa.

Mary Carol was predeceased in death by her niece Meredeth Elaine (Hornyak) Roussey.

Graduate of West Central Catholic High School, Kingston, Pa, Wilkes College, Wilkes-Barre, Pa and Millersville College, Millersville, Pa.

Mary Carol worked at the Devereux Foundation and Delaware County Intermediate Unit for over 40 years.

Mary Carol is survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to meet with her family Monday September 18, at 9:30 AM and to participate in her funeral service 11 AM at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 425 Lyceum Avenue, Philadelphia, Inurnment Calvary Cemetery.
