Doris Margaret Crowers was welcomed into heaven on December 28, 2024. Doris was the loving wife of the late Edwin Crowers. She is survived by her four children: Carol Agans, Edwin Crowers, Jack Crowers, and Beverly Mowry, and her granddaughter Emily Agans, who loved her grandmom. Emily always brought a smile to her grandmom's face whenever they saw one another.

Doris was born in March 1928 at Roxborough Memorial Hospital. She was raised in Roxborough and graduated from Roxborough High School. She always enjoyed visiting her many relatives that lived in Manayunk and Roxborough. All the family was very close and always looked after one another. She loved having everyone close by.

Doris was a devoted wife to Edwin Crowers and a loving mother to her four children. She loved taking walks, managing her home, decorating for the seasons, caring for her family and she was always there for all of us. Her special joy was long car rides, exploring places that were always new to us. We would all pile in the car and never knew where we would end up! They were such great adventures.

In later years, as her children started getting older, the family moved from the city to Yardley, PA. Mom loved being out "in the country", she loved her beautiful back and front yards with trees and flowers all around her, and her walks along the canal after dinner. And she had all new places to explore.

Through all her years, she always had her kitties by her side. They gave her comfort and love and she loved them right back.

Doris was preceded in death by her beloved sister Arvelle Stricker and her loving brother, Wayne Whitehouse, her mother Gladys Whitehouse and her father, Wayne Whitehouse.

Her viewing will begin at 10 AM, followed by her funeral service 10:30 AM at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 425 Lyceum Avenue, Philadelphia PA 19128, (215) 483-1702. Her interment will be private.
