Loving son of Claire (nee McVaugh) Whelan Shoemaker and the late Joseph Whelan, step son of Leonard Shoemaker, brother of Frances (Ken) Webb and Kathleen (Jim) Donoher, uncle of Dennis, Daniel, Timothy, Patrick and Grace. Family and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday morn 8:30 AM at the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 425 Lyceum Ave, Rox. And to participate in his funeral mass 10 AM at St. John the Baptist Church, Int. Calvary Cemetery. Donations in Joe�s name to the Lynch Montgomery County Inc., 216 Cedar Ave, Willow grove, Pa. 19090, would be appreciated by his family.
